Biofuel Workshop Date Announced: More Dates to Follow

Posted: 19 October 2011

The forum are planning to host a biofuel event for interested stakeholders at the NAFC on Tuesday the 1st of November. We would like to explore ideas around the potential to produce fuel from waste from the local aquaculture and fishing industries, as well as look at the possibilities of growing our own biomass fuels here in Shetland.

More details of this event can be found on our events page.

The Forum are planning several publically accessible renewable energy events over the autumn and winter, and have been involved in planning Shetland’s Renewable Energy Exhibition and Conference, Dynamic Shetland. Other events in planning are an information day on Feed in Tarriffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive, to discuss how to access these, and potential changes to the Schemes; as well as the Forum’s open day and AGM.

Check back on our website, and look for more details in the local press.
