New SREF Events for February and March

Shetland Renewable Energy Forum the Pure Energy Centre and the Institute of Engineering and Technology are delighted to announce that Martin Holmes, CEO of the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association will be delivering a public seminar at the Islesburgh Community Centre at 6pm on the 29th of February.

Martin will be discussing the value of hydrogen as a transport fuel.

On Saturday the 3rd of March, we'll be teaming up with the Energy Saving trust, and local homeowners Jim Dickson and Phil Ross from Brae who've volunteered to give some first hand information to aspiring domestic microgenerators in Shetland, as part of the EST's Green Homes Network.

Both households are situated in close proximity to the Brae Boating Club on the main road through Brae to Hillswick, with the wind turbine being prominent from the main road at Jim Dickson’s property, Hvidatus.  The solar PV installation on Phil Ross’s property, Willowbank, can be found in Greenhouls Park cul-de-sac which is signposted off main road. We'll be there to assist with any questions between 2 and 5pm.

Please contact us if you would like any more information on either of these events.
